'Field to Farm' inform us that the land must be at least 5 Hectares in order to submit a 28 day notice to the local planning office. Does the 5 Hectare rule still apply when applying for planning permission for an agricultural business prior to living on the land. Could I for example submit a planning application for an agricultural business on a 4 acre plot?

You dont need Planning permission for an agricultural business if its agricultural land you can apply for planning for a dwelling on any size plot but need to justify reason if related to agriculture
