We have tried to move some posts to a new topic as suggested in GPDO Part 6 Appeal (Plannning Permission Questions), but programme would not accept the URL for the new topic we had created (now completely deleted). We tried different ways of giving a valid Topic ID, but failed.

Do you have any suggestions please as to how we can achieve this?

Hi, I've not done this before (move posts between topics). I always assumed that you'd enter the topic ID of the place you wanted to move it into. To get that value you'd open the destination thread and look at the URL at the top of the page. That shows for instance that the topic ID for this thread is 796.

If that doesn't work then let me know and I'll have a play around.

Brilliant thanks Steve. Much simpler than trying to follow the 'Tip' given which was to copy URL on Browser and then paste it. We have taken the liberty of pinning the new topic but perhaps you would let us know if you and/or Dave do not consider it to be so important.
