Hi all,
Someone just told me you dont need PP for a stallion box!!! Sounds too good to be true but perhaps some of the horsey crew can enighten us.

PS we have rehomed a welsn mountain pony for a friend and as it is an entire male it is classed as a stallion I am told.

Hi DAVE C

Not quite sure what you mean. I have had horses for most of my life, although never had a stallion. Have not heard that you may need a license for a stallion (entire), but you will prob need planning permission for any building you put up to house him in, unless it is a moveable field shelter on skids. You could put a gate on the front and hey presto planning permission not required. Will check further with my horsey mates to see if they know anything.

Regards

Hi Dave - because it is a welsh mountain pony and if you don't keep horses usually, please take great care not to let it have a lot of grass to eat...... laminitus is a devil with ponies and it is really easy for them to get it. Have a GREAT weekend.

Hi HMOTW,
He is kept in a small paddockto prevent laminitus, my son is the knowledgeable one on horses. So no need to worry but thanks for your concern it is appreciated.
