Hi to anyone still here! Would any of you clever people who know about battery banks and generators be able to give us some advice?
Bit of background, we are going for full planning on our mushroom business as we only have 3.5 acres. We applied last May but withdrew in Sept. However the County Land agent has basically told us what he wants us to do to get our temp 3 year pp, so we are working towards that and then will re submit, so all good 🤗😁😊🙂
We already have a ten year old Honda EX5500 that we use for welding and power tools.
We are now about to buy a new or slightly used Honda 5KW (maybe a EG5500CL) for all the electrical needs of the indoor part of our mushroom business (inside in a fridge lorry body) we also want to charge batteries in the day so we can run a few things at night (fans, timers, humidifier) and turn off the generator £££££
We will add solar later and eventually a big wind turbine, but we have been advised to wait till we have our permanent pp for these as obvs at the mo we have no permitted development rights.
We have learnt a lot on our journey so far and usually one of us can step up to take on a task, but on this we are both a bit rubbish! We don't want to buy the wrong inverter, bettery charger etc that we can't use later on for the solar/wind system. What we would really like is someone to tell us what to buy or even come and set it up for us (although we are in Cornwall 🤣) happy to pay or do a skills swap.....Anyone up for it? Or know anyone they can recommend? Thank you x
