My feeling is your solicitor will register your bit. The remainder will remain registered to the seller.
Considering that, the cost for your bit will remain the same as normal.
There will be an additional cost for the seller.
I've been out of that loop for a long time, but I suspect the cost for the seller will be low - less than £100.
Unless there is something I don't know about... and that is possible. But it certainly won't be more than a few £100 worst case.

Our parcel was part of a bigger holding, admittedly he wasn't selling the rest at the time, but it's just a case of land registry charges (they'll need a marked plan/map but the solicitors sorted all that once both parties had agreed on where the boundaries were
