i put planning in for a mobile home but withdrew it, i think i need to get a planning consultant on the case as i decided to put in for a road frontage entrance but needed to prove a 215m visability splay! Any guidance on getting sorted would be great.

Electric will depend on your long term needs and aims. A static caravan comes with a 16 amp plug, but a mobile home or house it's down to how much electric you might be using. Even in our static, we put a better supply in and installed electric heating throughout cos it's cheaper than bottled gas and you don't get the damp you do from calor fires.
If long term you want a house then I would suggest you want a standard 100 amp household supply installing so it's man enough for later on. Of course if you're going with geothermal heating and solar panels for hotwater then your electric needs may not be as great, but also consider your business needs - you may need electric there. We had three phase put in because it was little extra and gives maximum possibilities and power.
On what grounds are you siting your mobile home?
How is your access currently to your land and off what type of road? Are you looking to move your entrance?

Who owns the track?
The price for the bore hole seems pricey unless that includes lining, manhole cover and filtration at the top of the riser etc, A basic bore hole should cost in the region of £3k depending upon how deep they think they will have to go to get a decent amount of water. On our land, the owners found out the best place to drill a borehole and then got someone in to make the hole. THEN they installed a pump, etc themselves and did the whole job for a lot less than had been quoted. However, at some stage we are going to have to install a proper filtration system instead of the temporary one we have at the moment.
BTW planning said we needed permission before we could put a shelter over the borehole, etc but did say that it could be done under pd.

If you already have an entrance you dont have a problem because it is an existing agric entrance which you can use 24/7 for agric use,a mobile is anxilary to agriculture ! You are STAYING(not living)in it for permitted agricultural purposes so the use is agricultural .Only when you apply for residential can they kick off and then you will have to adhere to the street plan document and speed/distances etc.If the farmer owns the lane which the bridal path is on then it could be said that indeed it is his hedge,if it were a road that would be different.hedges are usualy down the middle or where there is a ditch on one side it is to the centre of the ditch. But no set rules other than what would is in deeds or land registry

Can I do a little thread hijack?
What's the differnce between 3 phase and 1 phase - in practical terms I guess, what can't I do with single phase?

Single phase (1x240volts) is what's connected to most domestic houses - usually giving you a 100amp supply though some areas only give an amp supply.
Three phase is 3x single phase supplies - so 300 amps, or used with certain equipment it's gives 415 volts for three phase equipment. Some motors and welders are three phase. Three phase motors run cooler so like for a roller shutter a single phase motor is fine for occasional use but would overheat and cutout if used tooregularly, three phase will work all day.
It also gives more options on equipment - we picked up a three phase walk in freezer for not alot - it didn't fetch much on bidding because many people don't have three phase. Car ramps, welders, pillar drills can all be picked up cheaper in three phase but are better quality than single phase.
If you're getting a quote it's worth asking for both and compare the price and it's not usually much extra nut increases possibilities.

How much of that quote is 'contestable'? Also, if you need a transformer, ask them how much a refurbished transformer would be as the price they quote is usually for a brand spanking new one!
