We had 2 wethers, Buddy and Bertie. Bertie walked and moved as though he had been born with cerebral palsy and at nearly 6 years old was much smaller than his friend, Buddy, who was born last year. Bertie was not put down at birth as he had the most beautiful eyes and no-one would agree to ending his life before he had had time to live it.
Sadly, Bertie died at the end of last week. The postmorton showed an aneurism in his brain and the vet said that Bertie had died of a heart attack, but that he was clear of any kind of infection. Now we are left with one very lonely unhappy young alpaca. Is there anyone who can help us find another friend for Buddy? We are so afraid that Buddy will now give up on life if he does not have one soon.
