Hi Pigman,

Thanks for that. At the end of each financial years accounts we have added up the value of all our stock. We have an accountant to make sure that we dont forget anything. I know a lot of people on this site do most, if not all of everything themselves, probably including the accounts, but we want to make sure all the t's are crossed and i's dotted. I know it all costs a lot of money to use accountants, agri consultants etc, but in my eyes it will be money well spent if we can get what we want.

At this moment in time we need all the help and reminders we can get, so thanks for your input.

How far along are you in your endeavours?

hello kchally

you need a very detailed business plan, i have my own business plan which i can give you more details on, how many boars, sows and gilts do you have, i have 3 boars and 15 gilts sows which will give me up to 400 piglets per year, i think this is the target you will ned to aim for to make it a worthwhile business, i spent two weeks none stop doing my business plan and it covers everything and i hope it will worry the lpa when i issue it to them in a few weeks.

Hi
Would it be possible to have details of your business plan for pigs? We have just bought 42 acres of pasture and I would like to go the rare breed free range route along side a horticultural enterprise. First thing I need to do though is a detailed business plan for our planning consultant.
Many thanks
