Great link. But wondered how accurate the measurements are. I only wonder because I've just used it to look at a piece of land I'm looking at putting a bid on. According to the estate agents this parcel of land is approximately 8.97 acres. But this link says more like 7.5.

Any idea of how i could find out for sure

Hi you could use magic map that has a measuring tool , i used it to do my sfp maps and they were acurate and were not disputed by defra

http://www.farm-file.com is also a great tool for measuring areas, land features and distances as well as producing custom scale land maps on line.

Originally posted elsewhere as being able to measure distances as crow flies which is so important when it comes to considering how to make up any deficit in area of holding.
