I've got a livery yard, and that would not normally be a case to be allowed to live on site, so I chose to develop part of the yard (about 12 boxes) as a specialist livery yard stabling injured horses. Injured horses invariably have to be cross tied (if they've suffered breaks) and as all of them are kept stabled 24 hrs they are more at risk from colic and getting cast, therefore contd.
