I am thinkg of breeding goats for meat, what are your thoughts on this? Do you think it would be a viable business.
On the back of it we also have access to to deer & other game which we are thinking of selling as carcasses & butchered/oven ready at the gate, online and to trade as a game dealer.
Would this option be acceptable to the planners as the main animal enterprise?
Thanks

Hi goat meat is difficult to sell as there is such a limited market for it, the only section of the community that does eat goat are west indians. Deer would not pass the functional need test for planning so could not be used as a main animal enterprise.
