I've just been issued a "certificate of lawfulness" for my 10 X 10 metre agricultural building on a 10 acre woodland.

This was granted because the building had been substantially completed more than four years ago.

At least I no longer have to try to hide the cabin, but I'm wondering whether I can begin to use the building for workshops and whether permitted development could take me closer to applying for planning permission for a dwelling.
What happens when the cabin begins to rot and needs replacing?
Any ideas or advice very much appreciated.

Thank you

Apologies for multiple postings. I got an error message every time I tried to post and only realised when I went back to the forum my posts were actually being published.

Thank you for your post. The cabin was substantially completed nearly 5 years ago and does not have any foundations.

Someone told me that the government have changed the law last year to make transforming agricultural buildings into dwellings easier. Has anyone got any information on this?

Thank you

I'd personally make foundations appear but that's just my opinion 🤷🏻‍♂️

The problem is, I've already said it doesn't have foundations. I feel like running into my wife's fist.
