My place isn't a sssi but I believe there is one near by...... Does anybody know of any rules regarding these sites and permitted development etc? Is there a minimum distance away from the site a barn would need to be?

I think it carries the same protection as a house / protected structure so your barn etc would have to be 400 m away from the boundary of that Sssi area ( not 100%)
