In the topic about sheep fencing, mention has been made about dogs.

Well - did you know that according to Defra, horses are not classed as livestock but when it comes to the Dog Act, they are? So, if there is a horse or pony next door, keep your dog away or you could receive a visit from the police, because the police will believe the owners of next door (who of course are doing their best to make your life as difficult as possible) and not bother to take statements from anyone else present.

And whilst on the subject of dogs, do your best to keep your dog from barking, especially when you leave it behind while you go out, or you could have ASBO proceedings started against you. We would therefore suggest that you lock it it somewhere and leave it with a transistor radio playing so that it is not distracted by other sounds.
