Hi all just about to purchase 16 acres withe two barns on it one approximate 45'x30'andone 80'x40'dont think i can't follow the field to farm system as the barns are already on the land , there is also a 30' static caravan adjacent to one of the barns but not connected to any services , any idears on how to go about running the agricultral buisness to be able to apply for planning permission to build would be gretfuly received .

Under the new reg's you can convert one or more of your barns to accomodation or other business uses.  You can then put in Pd for another barn to store agricultural implements and make it a barn that will take a long while to build.  ( ie timber frame).

Thought I had read something recently that said once you have converted your unused barn to a house, then you cant put another barn up within 10 years?
