Update: Although the camping and caravanning club accepted our application to set up a camp site we haven't actually bothered to set it up, we may do so in the future just to p..s off the neighbours, as they got a petition up to try to stop us, meanies!

Our farm shop ( which is actually a double oak framed garage which was on the plans with the house) is still open and we do get some regular customers, but could always do with more. We sell our own sausages, bacon, gammon, pork etc but also some other local produce such as jams, marmalades, cheese etc made by people who stand on the same farmers markets as we do. We are trying to do our bit to help them. We never bothered applying for planning permission to change the garage into a farm shop, we just put a front in it, plastered it out, put electric and water in along with all our fridges etc. I think you dont need planning permission if you are just going to sell your own stuff, but we sell other stuff aswell, but thought to hell with it lets just do it, so we did!

Of course we expected the parish council to object, but actually only one councillor did and he was the one who has his own farm shop, idiot. He sent a written objection to the local council, but apparently we were told by another ex parish councillor that there was no problem and the rest of the parish council had no objections. So we have not had a visit, great.

Pigs are fine, producing piglets as they should, but we are very muddy at the moment and looking forward to some drier weather.

Still living in the mobile home and we can stay in it as long as we like now, because we have "made a start" on the build because we have put up the garage. I checked with the local council about this to make sure. Unfortunately the mobile home is not in its best condition now, because we have lived in it for 8 years! come 1st May and it has been thru some bad winters. The floor is not very good. We may need to purchase another more newer one just to see us thru until we manage to get the house up.

I tried to post a picture of the farm shop but not sure how to do it. If anyone knows please let me know.
