Hello everyone.

Ive ordered the book and hope to receive it tomorrow when a small tussle may take place between me and my husband as to who gets to read it first! Probably should have ordered two copies!

I am so pleased to have found this website, perfect timing for us. We have owned 26 acres for a few years now and already have permitted development for two agricultural barns, but to be honest we have been in that catch 22 situation where we just couldn't afford to get a business running whilst paying a huge mortgage ( both working lots of hours) ..However if we can live on our land for a few years at least, then that's no more mortgage ...giving us a little time and money to get where we've been aiming for!
Phew.... We were pretty much at the end of our tethers with it all, but this could be the perfect solution! Just can't wait to start making proper plans now, if we can stay on our land for a while (at least!) then that will make all the difference! Thank you Dave for opening our eyes to these rules! The planners aren't exactly helpful are they! ;)

It's so nice to meet so many like minded folk too!

In the meantime, what sort of agriculture do you recommend on 26 acres? Should we concentrate on one or should we have several going? What is everyone else doing?
