We used the following company to raise the finance needed to buy our land. It was all arranged in less than 2 weeks and we cannot praise them too highly.

Yes I quite agree, we also bought the land with help from this company. must say found them very helpfull, Andrew Bracegirdle a lovely chap. Although a fee was charged found us a good deal with the mortgage.
We have just purchased another plot, who we then went back to the same bank and did it ourselves to remortgage. Saved us a little bit then I may add
But wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.

Hi there - I've been speaking to Farm and Country Finance and they can almost help me...but don't seem to be able to cope with the last hurdle...
Here's why. I'm using my pension fund to buy the land. When I ask if I can borrow extra via a mortgage, the pension scheme say yes, no worries, which bank do you want to use?
Since the pension will technically own the land, they are also the borrowers...F & C don't seem to be able to cope with this idea.
Ruthie - would you mind saying which bank helped you?
Actually...anyone...would you mind saying which banks are lending for agricultural land?

I'm going thru LTSB, already have commercial mortgage with them, need to convert it to agricultural, been positive and helpful so far. Will take outside income into account for affordability, which helps while the business is developing.
