HI ALL - Stables and working Shire Clydedales

WELL WHERE DO I START , I BOUGHT 8 ACRES OF LAND 3 YEARS AGO ,IT WAS PART OF A PARCEL OF LAND THAT WAS SPLIT INTO PADDOCKS ,I BOUGHT 2 ,THERE IS FIVE IN TOTAL ,I KEEP SHIRE HORSES SO I DECIDED TO BUILD A STABLE BLOCK ,I BOUGHT THEM SKIDS WELDED THEM TOGETHER AND BUILT 3 STABLES MADE UP OF WOODEN SECTIONDS TO THE SAME DESIGN AS THE FIELD SHELTER THAT WAS PUT ON WHEN THE SELLER SPLIT THIS LAND INTO PADDOCKS ,MINE WAS BIGGER FOR SHIRES BUT ON A METAL SKID ,I PUT CLEAN HARDSTANDING DOWN WITH CRUSHA RUN FROM A QUARY AND FLAGGED THE BASE , WELL I GOT AN ENFORCEMENT NOTICE TO REMOVE THE STABLE TAKE UP THE HARDSTANDING REMOVE THE FLAGS AS THIS WAS HARDSTANDING AND I HAD 6 MONTHS TO DO IT ,I APPEALED AND THEY SAID IT MUST BE TOOK DOWN ,SO I TOWED THE STABLE BLOCK INTO THE FIELD VIDIOED IT MOVING ,TOOK ALL THE HARDSTANDING UP AND THE FLAGGED BASE RE-TOPSILED THE AREA AND THE COUNCIL CAN TO MY LAND AND SAID YOU CAN PUT THE STABLE BACK NOW (TAKING THE P-SS ) OUT OF ME I THINK ,WHY I MENTION THE OTHER PADDOCKS IS THEY ALL BUILT STABLES ERECTED SAND PADDOCKS HARD STANDING WITH WASTE CHIPPINGS THE COUNCIL SAID TO THEM CHANGE TO EQESTRIAN AND PUT PLANNING IN AND THEY HAVE PASSED ALL THERE WORK , THEY TOLD ME TO GET MY HOSES OFF THE LAND EVEN THOUGH I WORK THE LAND WITH MY HORSES THEY ARE HEAVY HORSES (SHIRE CLYESDALES ) I TOLD THEM THEY ARE AGRICULTURAL HORSES SO THEY HAVE STOPPED TRYING TO GET ME TO GO EQUESTRIAN,NOW I HAVE RECIVED A ENFORCEMENT NOTICE FOR A STORAGE CONTAINER AND MY CARAVAN TO BE REMOVED IN 28 DAYS ,THE CONTAINER IS NOT FIXED HOW DO I STAND WITH THIS ,I WANT TO PUT IN PLANS FOR A BARN FOR STOREING MY HORSE EQUIPMENT ,IT DOES NOT BOTHER ME THAT ALL THE OTHER PLOTS HAVE BEEN GRANTED PLANNING I JUST CANT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY WONT ME TO GO EQUESTRIAN ,CAN I PUT IN FOR A BARN UNDER PERMITED DEVELOPMENT AND HOW MUCH HARD STANDING IS ALLOWED

Hi
You can use permitted development to build a barn but you need more land so you need to rent some to bring the holding up to 12.5 acres. Tell the council that you are using the shipping container as a feed store for the animals.

thanks for your swift reply , can you advise me on a flagged base is this classed as a hard standing or is it permitted development ,i am going to put in for a barn after reading your book ,i have plenty of farmers that would rent me the required amount of land ,i have a copy of the prior notice form but they are charging 170 pounds for the application is this correct ,thanks again for your help xx ps i wish i had found your book and site before i started
