Contrary to popular belief LPA have deemed PIGS are seasonal breeders and do not contribute to Functional need !!!!
This in shropshire a largely rural county would you believe it. Is there no end to their incompetence. If this post was fiction it would be funny as it is not it is a sad reflection on our planning system. :(

Excellent question Shepie. And whilst we are about it perhaps we should start a Rights for Pigs Charity for them because otherwise why do they come into season so often? Does this mean as well that there is a season for human babies?

Can't wait to read the results of the Appeal!!!!! We will testify regarding our experiences if the Appellant so desires.

Just had a thought - perhaps the pigs are Mangalitzas and the lpa did not realise they were pigs but thought they were sheep!

I bet in the next draft of planning regs there'll be addressing thsi problem.

If you want to have a litter your'll need to request planning permission to increase the size of your flock/herd. You will have to submit by how many you will be increasing by and if you exceed the size applied for you will have to apply retrospectively. There will be an allowance for Permitted Development but this will only allow you to increase your herd size by 10%, though you will have to have approved the siting and design of any such additions and if further increase is required within 5 years of that event, it has to be carried out over 90 mtrs away from the original development.

Che, another way of looking at your problem is if the council are adamant about breeding seasons for pigs (LOLOL,, sry, still finding that incredibly idiotic, even for a bunch of office bummed pea brains :)) is there some kind of 'not fit for purpose' charge to be aimed at the planners?
