No one left to run it / moderate so questions that need answering can't be and help can't be given for FREE like it used to be
The vast knowledge now gained could help many small ethical farmers produce food

Most ran off with a nice chap called Clive to FB then he dissapeared after stripping them of assets apparently!!
The rest are too scared to post / discuss anything in case the establishment are watching or some c**p like that despite constantly checking in :-)
Think the owners gave up and left it floating like red dwarf

So no one runs it any more, and nothing is happening here by the look of it?
Who stripped assets? Sounds a bit serious, glad I missed that bit
Is that why the folks that run the page have left?

Helped them fight the council using common law and some stayed on their land a bit longer, for cash maybe more accurate
You didn't miss much seems there were a lot of nutters on here to begin with
Think mr acreman got busy ?

So the acreman thing on here has come to a quick end? His book is quite interesting and has some good points in it.
Has anyone actually done it though, or is that why everyone went to Facebook?

I would say 90% failed and 10% still going
Page one should have said
MAIN ANIMAL ENTERPRISE
From the top of the page to the bottom In large letters and page 2/3/4/5
IMHO

The field to farm book could do with a re write then perhaps?
And Mr Acreman is not about to answer any questions over any of these things?
I wonder if more than 10% are still plowing on with the Facebook job?
Have all of them left here or do they just not report?

Some still answer questions but not much discussion as they say planners read this ( personal think they have better things to do

Some are still looking in and may answer your questions
Most is written on here that you need to know , you just need to be careful of what is people's opinion and fact !!

It’s a shame this group disbanded, I really enjoyed it! Also a shame there isn’t a field to Farm Facebook group (I got kicked out of the other one!).
I’m now just over 3 yrs from my land purchase, it’s definitely looking more like a farm than a field...
A mobile home, a barn, 200 pigs, 40 sheep, 150 chooks, 5 horses, 3 dogs and a cat!
Got my 3yr temp on second attempt, looking to apply for a house next year, after my 4th financial year.
It’s hard, much, much, much harder than we ever anticipated! But I love my life, I’ll just love it even more when I have the security of permanent residency!

Fantastic Eve sounds like you read the book true right way up ;-)
200 pigs now that's a lot !!
Have to agree there about how hard it is , just when you think the limit is reached you realise your only half way there
You got kicked out the FB group :-) well don't worry even some of the hardliners did too and the messiah went awol
Good luck with the house f2f needs another good result and maybe you should start a F2F group ?
