Hi everyone well we have brought 4 acres of grass land and are renting up to 50 acres are putting in planning for as bigger livestock barn that the council will allow us to put up and looking to put in for temp living mobile home we have only 11 cows 1 bull and 6 calves sucklers  and 110 ewes and lambs , a brief history we started in 96 calf rearing in rented barns set in 4 acres then got a mobile home which up until this april we lived in we stopped rearing calves and built up a suckler herd of 70 charolais , over the last few years we lost a lot of grazing and sold the cows which is why we now only have 10 then the place we rented came up for sale and a local farmer/property / 65 horse livery owner brought it behind closed doors , he told us not to worry and would give us a year to find a new place {verbally} within 2 weeks of him exchangeing contracts he gave us written notice of 12 weeks !! Anyway we have moved . my question is the place we have brought has a residential uplift on HOW do we keep its value down so we can afford to keep the land and live on it I know if we get an agri tie it will bring value down about 20% . have got planners onboard who think we stand a good chance of getting planning due to our situation and the fact we are having to relocate and start again we can also get contracts to start calf rearing again if council want more stock daughter is also at 1st year at agri college and wanting to do farming  , any ideas would be gratefully received. p.s we don't have much left in the way of funds what with outlay of land solicters  paying rent and now the  planning guy ! Really value your advice

You need to look at the residentual uplift clause wording to understand the answer - they aren't all the same.
