Hi Everyone!

We got some really helpful advice off the members on here last November and looking for some more.  Last December (2014) we put in an application for our log cabin under a lawful development-we have lived in the cabin for 7 years this Christmas but since we have submitted the application to the Council we have heard nothing off them. It has been 7 months.  We can see it has been registered on the council website, our local society has commented on it and we have been sent a council tax bill for the cabin but nothing else. We want to build an room for our daughter on the back but until we have heard from them we cant put planning in.

Just to add our application was also advertised in the local paper, are they allowed to do that if it is not a planning application?

I have been told that unlike a planning application there is no time limit for them to get back to you on a lawful development application?

Our planning consultant has tried to chase them but they have said they are under staffed etc etc etc.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks
