http://www.gatelifter.com/

there's bound to be Uk sites

I've also seen a counterweighted lifting gate at Swanwick Nature Reserve near Southampton but I can't find an image for it.

thats a great idea , really like that, but with 13/14 gates going in, could be a tad expensive,

Leave the bottom hinge out a bit more than the top on the gate post and it will rise a fair bit

using a standard 10ft gate, would mean a big gap at the bottom, could go down to an 8ft, but wouldn't want to go any smaller, thinking about tractor and trailer, its not really a big deal, just a case of thinking it out before fitting

Gate post at 90 degrees to the land, with some heath robinson rope gizmo designed to stop it swinging too badly.

i didn't want to go down to less than a 8ft gate, but 6ft works well with quad and trailer, so the problem has been sorted,

big enough to get goats in and out and a small ramp unto the gate will be made...
