Hi,

 

I've just accepted an offer from a power company to install electricity on my land.

It seemed like quite a modest quote so there wasn't much hesitation in accepting.

 

Everything seems pretty straightforward, so it's just a matter of waiting for an installation date to be confirmed.

 

A new pole will be sited on my land just inside a hedge and power will come from another existing nearby pole.It should therefore be really neat and simple.

 

Driving home this afternoon, I couldn't help thinking that nothing is quite this simple ?!?!?!

 

I wondered if I should speak to the LPA or get some kind of permission?

 

I've carefully read through all of the electricity company's literature and referred back to the 'services' section in the F2F book.

I can't find any references anywhere to new poles.

 

Would someone be able to let me know if I'm concerning myself unnecessarily?
