Currently there is a tremendous amount of construction going on near us here in North Cornwall and we trolled the planning website to find out what was going on. Unfortunately it does not come up using the local post code or name of the farm where the work is going on..we found out that this is due to the nature of the website as the application was not made using the site address it was using the office address of the company building the Solar Park.
We found it on the website for the Protection of Rural England
Click here for Solar-Farms-in-Cornwall you will be astounded as to the number that will be sprouting up all over the county, from Bude to Saltash and out to Lands End, north, south, east and west Cornwall.
So check it out if you are looking for land in Cornwall or see if it will affect the value of your land.
For other counties check out the Campaign to Protect Rural England website and go to your local group area for more information. Check the planning apps and see how local feelings mean nothing and how compensation can change the mind of objectors.

the number of these solar farms being set up will slow down considerably now the government are halving the feed in tariff, good job too as they are spending our money to subsidise the well off!!!!

There are other considerations as the below quote from the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England.
'There is now concern that as solar farms have a life time expectancy of 25 years, the land that is occupied by a solar farm would then be considered to be a “brown field” site, with the consequence that other industrial development would follow, rather than returning the land to agricultural use.'
Makes one think of underlying intentions??????

Fossil fuels are in major decline and in the UK our nuclear fleet seems to be on its last legs.
An energy producing site will be worth more than any housing estate!
