Haven't had much of a chance to get on the board recently.

We are now living on the land. Had the EO round answered his letter and so far not heard a dicky bird since. Inside info is there is NO budget to enforce and in fact the dept. ceases to exist bar one person, so good news for me.

I have though almost stopped my building of the barn due to family bereavements. My mother died ( aged77) Sept 2011 after fighting cancer and last week my father died (aged 69) stuck down very suddenly also with cancer. I'm now almost full time dealing with house clearance/sale etc. I do worry if they start coming  round, anyone else had recent visits?

Hey Seagull, nice to see you. So sorry to hear of your bereavements and I do hope you are managing as well as one might in such awful circumstances.

I had the EO last Jan 2010 and returned the PCN. Not heard a dicky bird since though I wouldn't be suprised if they turned up tomorrow now I've said that . I'm sure they will when time permits and my case file pops back up to the top of the pile. Otherwise, its just carry on with the plan and if they give you a hard time, I think if you explain your circumstances, they might just be a little understanding,,, even planning officers have a heart,,,, wrapped in ice,,,,,,,,,, encased in granite,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, fortified with forged iron.........   ,,,,,,,, but there is one beating in there somewhere.

Hi Seagulls - we too are sorry to hear of your loss.  It must have been a very traumatic time for you.

As regards how we are getting on - thank you for the reminder - we are way, way behind with our diary!  We are appalled to realise how much has happened since our last entry!  Probably won't find time to do anything about it the next couple of weeks though as there are some very interesting auctions in the pipeline and we must gather up items for selling because we desperately need to have some money as after hiring a digger and ordering stone the coffers are all but empty.
